Drone Surveys

Drone Surveys

It is increasingly the case that for Grade I or II listed buildings, drones are essential to allow for safe, “non-contact” inspections. This is vital for fragile structures where traditional scaffolding might cause damage Or be simply cost to prohibitive.

We use them to document intricate stone carvings, roof leadwork, and gargoyles that are otherwise inaccessible. 4K Video and detailed still photography footage is used to verify the condition of chimneys, flashings, and gutters for “Schedules of Condition.” Drones can safely survey sites with asbestos risks, structural instability, or contaminated land without exposing staff to the environment.

We can also use high-quality still photographs to add colour and texture to traditional drawn CAD elevations. While not as accurate as true rectified photography, It provides a useful benchmarking tool for contractors to see the before and after effects of their work.
We also find these scale photographs a very attractive presentation tool for our clients particularly when they have to describe projects to committees and funders. We can also produce a video showreel of their buildings which really helps with fund raising social media campaigns.

All our drone operations are conducted by CAA-certified pilots (holding A2 CofC qualifications) and are fully insured. We operate with strict adherence to UK GDPR and privacy regulations, ensuring our data collection is focused solely on your project site.
